Who can apply?
For the small grant schemes this will vary according to the type of grant you wish to apply for. For more details click on available grants.
If you would like to apply for funding for a larger project, or to our small grant scheme for community groups that want to start a new project, then applications should come from a not-for-profit organisation, such as a charity, support group, society or club. The minimum requirement is that the group applying is constituted.
Making an application
If you are making an application to North West Devon LEADER+ for a larger project it is recommended that you meet with a member of the North West Devon LEADER+ team to discuss your project at an early stage. You will need to produce a detailed project proposal, which is effectively a business plan for the project.
Funding under the North West Devon LEADER+ programme is available until the end of 2008, but must be allocated by the end of 2006. LEADER+ funding is for mainly "revenue" projects, which means that we are unable to consider projects where the main costs are "capital",for example, buying or coverting a building.
LEADER+ cannot provide 100% funding for projects - the amount available will typically be 50 - 75% of the eligible project costs. We may be able to signpost you to potential match funding for your project.
