Rackenford Village Shop and Post Office
The project purchased the Rackenford Church Room as a community building and refurbished it to provide larger premises that can be rented to the existing village shop and post office. Subscription shares have been offered to local householders entitling them to make suggestions and vote on proposed changes to the use of the building. In addition to allowing them to sell their own produce in the shop. It was opened in October and is now trading.
Ruby Country Initiative
This project focuses on utilising the outstanding environmental and landscape assets of the area to provide a variety of linear and circular trails between and around Holsworthy and Hatherleigh. The trails will include cycling, walking, horse riding, craft, local food, heritage and other related trails. For more information please contact Lucy Dando.
